Philipp Grigorian

Philipp Grigorian is a director, set designer, and drama teacher with over 20 years of professional experience. He graduated from the B. Shchukin Theatre Institute and completed his postgraduate studies. In his theatre projects he usually acts as both director and artist, which largely determines the style of his productions: a balance between drama and visual art, between performance and installation.

Participant of International Diaghilev Festival, International Festival and School of Contemporary Performing Arts TERRITORIЯ, «Russian Case» showcase of the Golden Mask National Theatre Award, and other festivals. 

 

Collaborates with Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna, Austria), Stadttheater Giessen (Giessen, Germany), Oper Wuppertal (Wuppertal, Germany), Bolshoy Theatre, Gogol-Center, Theatre of Nations, Stanislavsky Electrotheatre, Praktika Theatre (Moscow, Russia), Russian Theatre of Estonia (Tallinn), Perm Opera and Ballet Theatre, Teatre theatre (Perm, Russia) The Red Torch Theatre (Novosibirsk, Russia), and other institutions and venues.

Golden Mask National Theatre Award laureate (nomination «Experiment») and other awards.
